Partnering with the City of St. James, Archer-Elgin assisted in the design, bid, and build a new sub-station for the City. Initially, Archer-Elgin developed a site and facility plan, electric layout plan, foundation design, boundry and topographic surveys, and finalized plans and specifications in accordance with the City and other stakeholder requirements. Once all plans were approved, Archer-Elgin and the City moved to the bidding phase which consisted of meeting with contractors, preparing addendas as needed, and handling site tours. Lastly, Archer-Elgin assisted in the construction admin during phase 3 to ensure compliance and complete success for the City. The end result is a brand-new sub-station that provides power to the nearby housing and the St. James Middle School.
